In 2020, due to COVID-19, more than 110,000 restaurants in Florida had to temporarily or permanently close their doors, leaving over 520,000 hospitality workers in Florida without their jobs. With families to support and bills to pay these individuals were left to struggle and to navigate this crisis with nowhere to turn. Think Pineapple Foundation is here to ensure that no member of our hospitality family feels alone through times of crisis and that they always have somewhere to look for help. Hospitality is in our DNA. As part of the hospitality family, we are here to serve those that need us most. If there’s a problem, we are committed to finding a solution. If a solution doesn’t exist, we will create one.

Hospitality means "receiving with kindness." Every time you walk into a restaurant, a hotel, or shop you are greeted by smiling faces and a warm welcome. You would never know that behind these comforting smiles, these hard-working individuals could be suffering in silence while experiencing an emotional or financial crisis.

Think Pineapple Foundation addresses the basic needs of individuals and businesses that are part of the hospitality industry, by providing temporary financial support. This assistance helps ensure that no member of the hospitality industry, individual, their families, or business, goes without having their basic needs met because no one should have to worry about not being able to pay for rent, child care, groceries, medical, or dental care.
